Loosens lug nuts
This thing Took the lug nuts off my ram 2500 using impact sockets!!! Those lug nuts are torqued to 140 ft pounds!!! But what I found to be the strangest thing was if you use standard sockets… (not impact sockets) the gun will barely break a lug nut torqued @ 80 ft pounds??? So make sure you have impact sockets.

My 3rd dewalt impact they are awesome.
I use the impact drivers all the time now. Didn’t care for at first but after using it I’m hooked at how easy it is to use and light weight compared to drills.I’ve don construction work for years and like the 20 dewalt line up. I have a lot of dewalt. Only issue is the life span of batteries. For most they will last long time and I recommend the 4 or 5 battery size best value and use time.

This is a good DeWalt tool. Solid performance and durability. The battery life and performance on a DeWalt is not as good as Milwaukee but if you know what you’re doing this will serve you well without having to pay Milwaukee prices. I run DeWalt tools and this is right on par with what I expect from DeWalt.

what you see is not what you get
this item shows a belt clip and it was not included they said tool only means nothing on it but yet the picture show the clip it wasn’t new it was refurbished so i returned it

This drill kicks ass. I haven’t bought a new drill in a few years and it was time. I’ve been using Dewalt for over 20 years and this drill does not disappoint. It’s got a ton of power and the battery life is outstanding. It’s compact size is perfect for tight spots. I wish I would have bought this drill sooner. I love it!!

This things a beast. A full battery is a must for this. Used it on regular woord, hard treated 4*4 beams and driving in masonry bolts. Works like a champ. Can’t go wrong with DeWalt

Everything arrived except for the box
This arrived in perfect condition. The only complaint is it did not have the box. The manual, drill, and clip were packaged in a plastic envelope. I am really lucky it wasn’t tossed around while shipping!Otherwise I love this for someone smaller like me as a supplement to my normal drill. Love that the batteries all work together in the 20V system!

New or used?
Was listed as new but clearly it had been opened, handled and maybe used seeing that there are a couple small “scuff” marks that certainly won’t hurt it. That said, it worked great when I put a battery in it. Have yet to use it but will in a few weeks.

So much better than drill driver
You need 2 batteries if you run this all day. I’ve only got 1.3ah desalt batteries and that’s good for half day of constant use.So much better driving & less exertion than my dewalt drill/driver. So worth money for extra tool on shed build

Works great and really tough
I purchased this for a large home project where I had to drive 1500 or so screws of various sizes. The compact size of the tool is nice for getting into tight spaces, like between wall studs with longer screws. My smaller 2 amp existing DeWalt batteries lasted for hours. I purchased this model because of the brushless motor design, as it’s supposed to get much better battery life. I think it really works because the batteries really lasted a long time. The speed control has great control too, so I could set the screws perfectly even for delicate work. I was driving a lot of #9 3 1/8″ screws for building framing, and it would drive those screws as deep as I wanted and fast with very little twisting on my wrist, and then if things weren’t quite right, unscrew quickly to start over. I also used it for small #8 1 1/4 screws for trimming and it worked wonderfully there too. I used it on some very large screws in a couple cases, #12 or something, and it worked great there too. Like any impact driver, the impact makes quite a bit of noise when you’re driving large and long screws. I was working close to small farm animals in tight quarters a few times and had to avoid the impact to keep them calm. Could be an issue with neighbors too if they live too close, like in the next apartment.

A good impact tool for average home owner
This “Atomic” 1/4″ model does not have the same heft or tork as the model I replaced from a drill and 1/4″ impact combo purchased about 3 1 /2 years ago. The drill lives on, the impact died suddenly.I am a DeWalt 20v fan especially with a 4 or 5 amp battery. Time will tell about this model; but it is definitely not up to par with an older model.

Great impact driver
I would recommend this dewalt impact driver. The only negative is it is mostly made of plastic (the casing). But it has a lot of “nut busting torque” i used this impact drill about 10 screws with a 1.3ah battery and the screws never slipped all screws went in the wood in about half a second. Then used it on loosening a bolt and the impact took it right off.

Not much smaller
I bought this unit because it is smaller than the xr which turns out to be a much better machine. The atomic gets hot and very loud without much function. Costs $70 to get it rebuilt. Refurb about same price. Just get an xr.

Best drill I’ve owned
I like the over all ability of the drill. The torque it has is great for spinning off lug nuts to fastening deck screws with ease.
