    Cleaner than using pliers to final twist wire nuts

    I bought this with the full intention of never using it with a power tool. What I’ve done instead is use a quarter inch socket and short 3 inch ratchet on the drive part of this tool and install things by hand. One should never over tighten wire nuts on wiring and using an electric driver is a sure way to do that. If one wants to do a fast slap dash job and make a twisted mess that will be difficult to take apart if needed, fine. But I’ve actually found old wire nuts inside a couple of my electrical boxes that the plastic had split down the side they were so over tightened by the electrician who wired my home and he did it by hand. Fortunately, no shorts or fires. I always twist my wires together first, and 12 gauge is a PITA, THEN install the wire nut by hand and tighten it slightly more with pliers to make sure it’s snug. Now this tool will make that part easier. I never use wire nuts to do the wire twisting, always pliers first. I’ve found wire nuts to be very inconsistent at twisting the wires together properly, sometimes finding one wire loose inside. My only gripe is that this tool won’t fit wire nuts larger than the reds. Grays or blues do not fit. Since red and yellow are the most common ones used, it’s not an issue. The manufacturer would probably have to make a separate tool for the larger sizes.

    This is great when you have to connect a bunch of wires in a junction box. Just pop it in a drill or impact, and twist away. One of my favorite new tools.

    Great tool will, highly recommend

    Was needing a tool to add pigtails to house wiring while installing ceiling fans, & updating old wall circuit outlets. Not only did it twist the wires but applied wing nut at the same time with a secured fit using a power screw driver driver.

    It was a hand saver for sure. Might be better used on a hand pencil style m12 drill vrs the powerhouse m18 I was using. To each there own. I’ll keep it in my pack out for the times I might need it.

    Sounds like a great little tool, but it is only a great little gimmick. NO INSTRUCTIONS included, just this gimmick in a plastic bag. Figured out how it “works”. Twisting wires can be done but ten times slower than simply twisting a pair of pliers. Sending it back.

    More of a wire nut installer — Not much of a wire twister

    This tool does not tightly twist the ends of bare electrical wires like I had hoped. I was looking for a tool that would replicate the tight twist that professional electricians make when installing multiple wires with a wire nut. If you try to use this tool to get a tight twist, you run the risk of breaking the internal metal binder in the wire nut (happened to me).The positive… if you are installing a lot of wire nuts, this tool can be handy. It handles a fairly wide variety of wire nuts.

    Is fast and no pain in your hands

    It’s excellent. So far it has been compatible with the wire connectors I have used. They are installed easily and quickly which greatly advances the work. You avoid the pain of the hand when you have to screw many. The only thing I can say is that if you are installing many wire connectors, you will feel the weight of the drill, but that is another thing.

    Nice Range

    I use this often, fits well on Tan/Red winged, Yellow 74B ideal, Twister tans. Will not work with direct burial blue wirenuts. Had to use Rackatier largest for that. I like the range of the so much, i purchased a second in the event I lose the original.
